FFA233 ( DIGITAL INK & PAINTING ) : SUPERIMPOSE ( ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS6 )

Exercise    :  Superimpose (Adobe Photoshop CS6)

- WHAT IS SUPERIMPOSE? -

Basically, superimpose means that we put one image over another so both are seen. And that is what we are going to learn and do.

We started by superimposing some pictures that are been provided by the lecturer using Adobe Photoshop CS6. Of course, some of us did not have the knowledge on using the software, so with the guides of our lecturer Puan Norhasheila Muharram, we started off with our first superimpose practice in class.




The pictures:

A boy.

A playground.

A park.

- PROGRESS -

1. Cropped the boy out : removing the background.

2. Superimposing : Adding the image of the playground and the park inside the boy.

3. Done! : With some minor fix and touch-ups.

- DO IT YOUR WAY -

Using our own pictures, we are told to do the same as what we have learned in the class as our assignment for the week.

Flowers at a flower shop in Cameron Highlands.

A beach : Minyak Beku Beach, Batu Pahat.

1. Me, cropped and fixed.

3. Overlayed a little colour into the layer.

4. Background : Library added onto the back.

5. Overlayed the flowers picture onto the library picture.

6. Cropped the background into a circle.

7. Add another background layer : beach and a little touch-up. Done!

When it comes to photo editing and design, Adobe Photoshop reigns supreme. This assignment gave us (such as myself) who did not really use Photoshop that much an opportunity to try using this powerful editing software. 

Rather than depending on some photo editing software that provides superimpose editing (which are limited to some pictures), we are free to superimpose any pictures using whatever pictures we want. This will give us the chance to make more awesome pictures in the future.
